Tathagat Teachers Training College is distinguished co-educational B.Ed College at Kalyanpur, Dhanbad. It is affiliated to Binod Bihari Kolyanchal, University, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The College was established on 01.01.2005 by some eminent personalities headed by Dr. Arun Kumar Verma, Sri Gupteshwar Singh, Dr. Manoranjan Daftuar, Sri, Ram Minat Singh, Smt, Meena Rani Prasad and some villagers.

At first college was established in leased land building at Ranibandh Dhaiya, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, where first batch completed in year 2008-09. After that in year 2011 the college has been shifted to its own land and building at Jorapipal, Kalyanpur, Dhanbad. In year 2017 the college launch D.E.l.Ed course which is affiliated by Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi. The college vision is to provide educational opportunities for the hundreds of students residing in sub-urban areas of Dhanbad and nearby Bokaro and Giridih. Tathagat Teachers Training College is situated on the main highway of Delhi- Kolkata, so it is easy for everyone to reach the college easily, and it is quite difficult specially for girls students to reach by following different means of transport and it is quite time consuming also. In the establishment college faced so many problems in the beginning the path is full of turmoil and hardship but slowly and gradually hardships and problems were vanished by doing hard work and dedication. Students few in number were mainly from tribal and Schedule caste/ Schedule Tribe low-income background and marginalised sections of the society. Only the passion and dedication of a very small group of teachers who went on serving for the cause of education and social responsibilities eventually put the college in firm ground. Tathagat teachers training has produced fine educators enlightening students path within India and abroad. Students and staffs from the institution have been path builder and supporting society with multiple noble causes.

During COVID 19 institution was transformed into covid centre by Govt of Jharkhand. All the faculties and students provided non-stop support to the visitors and maintained complete discipline with zero or no issues reported at centre. At present, the college has Bachelor of Education course (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education D.E.l.Ed. Bachelor of Education, it is a 2year undergraduate program that is done after graduation. It prepares students for a career in education. Students with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) can advance in a lucrative career as a teacher, school counsellor, or school administrator. The College has an area of about 1 acre. It is located around 07 km from the heart of the city Dhanbad, and it is known Coal Capital of india. Dhanbad, is situated 12 km from Dhabnad Railway Station.
